1. Who we are

LuxUp Training (“LuxUp”, “we”, “us”) provides AI-Tutor led, competency-based courses for schools, teachers, school leaders, parents and partners. Our programmes are built and hosted in-house by LuxUp.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to luxuptraining.com, our waitlist and campaign pages, our hosted learning platform, and any email or messaging we send you.

Questions, requests or complaints: courses@luxuptraining.com.

2. What we collect

3. Why we use it (and our lawful basis under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019)

4. What we share — and what we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary:

Course feedback you give stays within LuxUp’s course team; we share it with schools only in anonymised, aggregated form.

5. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to keep it secure and functioning (for example, maintaining your session and cart). We use them only as needed to provide the service you ask for — not to build advertising profiles. You can set your browser to block or alert you about cookies, though some parts of the site may then not work properly.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: enquiry and waitlist data while you remain interested in our courses; account and learning records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so certificates and competency transcripts remain verifiable; payment and billing records as required by applicable tax and accounting law. After that, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (and consistent with international standards) you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email courses@luxuptraining.com. We respond within 30 days. If you act for a learner (parent, sponsor, guardian or school), tell us which learner your request concerns.

8. Children and learners under 18

Most of our learners are enrolled through schools or by a parent or sponsor. Where we hold information about a learner under 18, it comes from the enrolling school, parent or sponsor, who confirm they are authorised to provide it. We use it only to deliver and report on the course. Parents and guardians may exercise any of the rights in section 7 on their child’s behalf.

9. Security

We protect personal information with access controls, encrypted transmission (HTTPS), and role-based permissions — for example, a school can see only its own learners. No system is perfect; if a breach affecting your data ever occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. International transfers

Our services are operated from Europe. If you access them from outside Europe, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws differ from your own — we take steps to keep it protected to the standard described in this policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services change. The “last updated” date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on our website. Continuing to use our services after a change means accepting the updated policy.
